i guess it will be like a 6 month form of housing benefit ,so like mortgage holidays what's new ?
i walked into a bank and took a mortgage holiday back in 2004 just so i could pay for some DIY ... it only postpones what you have to pay later I can't see there being and 'handouts' those who have to self isolate won't bother putting in for SSP as it's a lot of faffing about ,worth very little and as far as i know takes off 3 days anyway |

Will rents drop as tenants won't be able to supply adequate references and landlords won't be able to get insurance to cover missed rent. Or will rents rise as more and more landlords sell up as they need the money.

I think it will be more difficult to sell in the current climate; especially as many prospective buyers might be buy-to-let landlords themselves.

if someone is laid off they get help with HB if they have no savings , no ?

one thing you can't have is the govt bailing everyone out ... they've gone about it the right way with businesses on the whole .
I think in business you have to accept there is an element of luck ..sometimes for you sometimes against ...as long as there is some help which there is |
