In this country we don't either trade wild animals at market or eat them in restaurants.

Much of China is a primitive society that's barely moved forward from the middle ages.

Lets get one thing straight,
6 POINTS TO REMEMBER....
1..China got a **** trade deal from the US..
2.They unleashed Coronavirus on the world, already knowing they have a cure for it..
3 They will now get everything they want because they have the cure for it..
4 they get the deal they want and they release the vaccine to the rest of the world.
5. We won't be told.
6.in 3 months time we'll be saying how great the chinese are for saving us all

Naive posy, google 'illegal UK bush meat' and it will tell you a different story. The UK is made up of different cultures with different ethics now. The question that needs to be asked is, why is the virus being blamed on the consumption of illegal meat, when this meat is consumed in many countries by people not indigenous to that country, yet no virus outbreaks seem to stem from this?

i have been boring on about china for years to anyone who will listen(nobody). it has been a human and environmental catastrophe for 70 years. it has been responsible for the deaths of tens of millions of its own people(frank dikotter, the world-renowned historian has written extensively about this, but you lot have never heard of him). not content with killing its own, during peacetime, i might add, the cpc is a brutal oppressor of its neighbours, bullies small countries and is the worlds biggest polluter by miles. 29% of the sh1te in the ocean emanates there. it gobbles up resources from africa with debt diplomacy, and destroys the local environment with the connivance of corrupt officials. it is also the greatest executor of people, both acknowledged and in secret, and is the worlds most sophisticated surveillance state with a vast army of cyber-warriors that spread disinformation, steal intellectual property and destabilise its enemies.

add to that its utter disregard for animal welfare that has produced this latest, greatest calamity, following on from sars and swine fever. it has bear and tiger farms where these precious animals are kept in tiny cages and their body parts used in chinese medicine. if this wasnt enough, the destruction of african elephant, rhino. lion, etc is largely their doing. imagine if all this was driven by the u.s.? the outrage would be irresistible.

i could go on to mention its slave labour camps full of political prisoners and its habit of kidnapping people abroad and making the confess to imaginary crimes, but that will do.

now, another virus has mutated via chinese 'wet' food markets(wet meaning wild animals tortured in front of consumers). china have been shunned, ostracised and shamed long ago, and denied access to markets and sporting events. the only reason the cpc allowed any sort of economic activity was because feared going the same way as the ussr, so it allowed limited economic freedom that supplied consumer goods that communism cannot deliver, but retained an iron grip on power, and woe betide any who challenge the power of the cpc and its 'president'. although hes not a president, as that suggests legitimacy, which he doesnt have; hes the chairman of the communist party, who nobody has voted for.

the reparations we should seek for this biblical calamity should be so onerous that the cpc cannot see it out, and the people, having been given the merest glimpse of life beyond totalitarian communism, will rise and shoot the lot of them, in traditional chinese fashion.

instead, what will happen is that when this appalling disaster is controlled, if it ever is, the recriminations will be directed at those who were perceived to have been incompetent or uncaring in their response to it. boris will be pilloried, probably with good reason, as will trump, but with the aid of the useful idiots and the chinese disinformation machine, it will all be muddled together. there will be 'strong'(read weak) protest from the west, but it will amount to little, until next time, or until the vicious one-party state is dismantled

who knows? i aint a sinologist. but the people of hong kong, who know whats coming, should be supported to the hilt, as should tiny taiwan. these 2 states are on the cpc radar. and china should be shut out of international markets, but this shutting the gate after the horse has bolted, and wont happen.

ive never knowingly bought anything made in china, for obvious reasons, and those who like the idea of cheap consumer goods might want to contemplate the human and environmental cost, not just in asia, but worldwide. companies move production out of europe because labour costs are so much cheaper elsewhere, non-unionised and the pool of labour is huge, leading to utter disregard for workers rights. workers are peasants who have never known even basic freedom, and are pathetically grateful, which inevitably leads to abuse. using european labour might mean we have to pay a bit more to retain jobs but it would prove beneficial, saving in social costs and so phucking what if china makes things cheaper? we know why that is. soon the cpc will lose its bargaining power, and ultimately, its absolute power, which is all it cares about.

The Wuhan Institute of Virology.

A history of experimenting with coronaviruses and getting them to "infect human cells and damage the respiratory system".

An article from 2015 in the Nature Journal saying "Isn't all this a bit dangerous?"

The editor of Nature recently added a note saying this doesn't mean the current virus was leaked from the institute.  The authorities also say there's no link between muslims and grooming gangs.  For the same reason - their biggest fear is 'racism'.  It depends on if you believe in coincidences or not.  I'm not saying the virus was deliberately leaked; it would be daft to do it in your own backyard.  A more likely scenario is that a laboratory worker was lax with the safety protocol and got infected.  You can't see it and there are no symptoms for a few days so the worker goes about his business, passing it on to the people he meets.

Not China's fault that people travelled from there to all parts of the world. If every other country had banned travel to and from China on day 5 of the outbreak it would be over by now.

good example of victim-blaming there from the spectacularly ill-named sage, unless its the herb. that would be more like it. why is it china is so prone to these outbreaks? it was identified in november, but the doctor who warned of it was imprisoned and died. if china wasnt a brutal dictatorship that frightens people into conformity it might have been halted earlier. but it is, and unknown numbers will die. the world will pay in zillions for its unspeakable nastiness where human and animal life is involved. its an appalling country. imagine this emanated in the u.s. and they tried to keep it quiet, with terrifying results worldwide. the opprobrium heaped upon trump would have brought him down.

have you heard anyone excoriating chinese dictator xi about this? i havent
