Can someone not tell the little children that there is no need to take all the school books in to school every day.Surely they only need to take in the books for the subjects on that particular day. Some little children are going to school as if they were carrying bags of coal on their small backs.
This is not good for them and they will have damage done to their backs before they leave School. So parents, teachers,or anyone reading this thread ,inform the children that there is no need for them to carry four stone of weight on their back to school every day.Sad

Very good, Crisp!

You’ve made a very good point there, Brassy.

Wait until they get to post-16 education.  I swear some books are selected for their size.  I have memories of trudging up 5 flights of stairs with a weighted rucksack.  We did have a lift but that was for specials only.

Why did you have a dedicated lift for a Ska band?

We were told this 60 years ago.
Advised to wear satchel with strap across our chest , NOT to have it just on one shoulder.

It was fascinating to observe how at school around 90% of people had the rucksack on 1 shoulder but at college pretty much everyone had it on both shoulders.

Young kids don't carry books to and from school unless it's one reading book.
