I mentioned it on my hand washing thread a couple of days ago.

I'm pleased to see it is now being discussed on the radio.

Don't do it! Angry

Footballers sometimes need to clear their airways, I can live with that

Clint Eastwood's performance as the Outlaw Josey Wales brings a lump to my throat. The scene where he takes out a scorpion with a single hoick redefined the western. Luxuriant gobbing.

All the Chinese I know love a good spit, I wonder if that's how it spread so quickly, initially.

Footballers spit as a habit. They even do it before play. Managers do it. It’s a ritual and it’s disgusting.

If you’re fit you don’t have phlegm. They even drink from their bottles and spit that out Laugh

It’s in cricket as well. Steve smith spits all the time standing at second slip.

Which sums most of them up.

The first mate's name was Mastered, he was always three parts plastered.
He'd spit and spew all over the crew the dirty rotten baastaard.

I heard a person on a phone in today saying that they never buy fresh unwrapped bread rolls as they see so many people picking up several before deciding which to buy! The great UK public are a pretty unhygienic race as well.

In my area:

Toilet rolls:  shelves are sparse but still available
Liquid soap:  out of stock Friday and Saturday but some on sale today
Anti-bacterial surface wipes: totally sold out
Canned food: plenty available but stocks lower than usual
Dried pasta: very nearly sold out
Anti-bacterial gel: no chance - totally sold out and has been for about two weeks

Still plenty spitting about, you see it on the pavements if you do much walking.

But no so much as when most people smoked and industry was ruining workers lungs
