Watched it around a year ago and wasn’t overly impressed, will give it another go.

Meanwhile, A Beautiful Mind has just started on Film 4.
John Nash was a genius who’s greatest achievement was only recognised many years after he wrote his paper.

The Nash Equilibrium is now standard fare on all MBA courses, game theory the flavour of the month with strategists the world over.

I meant to say if your looking for laughs avoid at all cost.

Made a very good impression on me.

It follows the fortunes of a low status hero : - and his tragedy slowly emerges.

There is no perfect resolution.

Well worth watching imho but, those who have better ways to spend time that we can share>>

Watched it and quickly remembered what I didn't like about it.

The flashback technique is widely used in books and films, but here it is somewhat overused.
There is also one scene, at the wake, where the background noise is overused as a justification for the extension of an awkward conversation.

There is a good film in there, just suffers a bit from the director trying too hard to bring it out.

I hate Brits who call films movies.
If you are American it is OK and if Irish call it a filum.

We always used to say we were going/been to the pictures.

I watched it and thought it was no great shakes personally, 4/10 at best and not a film I would ever care to see again.

It must be you then Slippy,Rotten Tomatoes rates it as one of the best Filums ever made.

What would you score it at ?

I'm really mean with my ratings but would give it a solid 7.5 - really enjoyed it

A solid 7 for me.

Upgraded to a 6 from me, had been a 5 on first watch.
