This in the shadow of my "Chucking Money Away" thread!

Circa 2004 I had my first "Bluetooth" head set, and only had it for a few months when it failed!

Talking to the girl on my service provider (Orange I think) about another issue. and I mentioned the headset problem,
and she gave me the contact details for a possible repairer (incidentally, the place I got it from was gone)!

I had everything that came with it, and it looked as new, so I sent the whole thing to them.

A week or so later I received a letter saying it was unfixable, so they would return it for a cost of £25.00!

Of course I pretty well knew I was being ripped off, but what's a man to do?

Paid £99.00 for it just a couple of months back.....!!!

Betfair ripping people off daily and that's a fact of this monopoly that make up there own rules as they go...

The bots rip you off and when they malfunction Betfair take the money from your account and refuse to pay out the winnings, the reason they have no help desk.

Not ripped off, moreover frustrated.

I bought a packet of Cadbury's Animal Biscuits and the label said: "Do not open if seal is broken". I never found out.

The new mandatory overdraft interest is draconian and unfair, and is introduced as punishment for savvy/careful customers to recoup revenue lost from others not careful with their money eg un-arranged overdraft.

Another is the Letting Fee/Deposit being replaced by a Zero-Deposit Tenancy scheme (a policy costing about a week's rent) for accommodation. However, the main difference is the latter is non-refundable, and tenants are still liable for any costs arising from damage to a rented property.
