I watched it and it gave me a good laugh. Definitely entertaining and will surely win best foreign picture, if not the main prize.

seen most of the contenders this year - reckon Parasite is the best film nominated but don't reckon it will win - great film-making nation South Korea, done some amazing stuff over the years

By:
A quick search suggests that on Jan 27th, somewhere, it was 360/1 according to a news article; it has definitely sparked my interest after the win

By:
yes was nailed to be best foreign pic tbh i figured 2017 would get the vote
its one you wont forget aspro if you can handle subtitles , worth it tho |

Not really a fan of subtitled films but have watched (and enjoyed) them in the past. A unique film is probably worth the effort I agree.
By:
Sorry, read that wrong - Odds were 3.6/1 not 360
(it commenced at 4.5) |
By:

1917 was poor, so not much competition there
By:
The competition was pure sh1te...It was only The acting by J.P that made The Joker such a Hit.

By:
I mean all that Hype about The Irishman another load of Jobby.
By:
why are they persisting with the cgi carp.just the sound of the irishman sounded pony
By:
I thought 1917 was very good and Parasite was ok but not good.
By:
1917 bored the pants off me - Parasite kept you guessing from the first minute to the last - a proper film, which doesn't follow any tried and tested formula

A load of Peach Fuzz.......

That was Parasite.

Erm I am lazy too but a great film is a great film and subtitles are not a bar to kwality Mrs ‘Death is not a fan of sub titles but we watched a Javier Bardeen film once by mistake not knowing it was sub titled but it was brilliant and we were hooked... Before night falls I also watched Thieves of the wood on netflix which I thought amazing. It was in Flemish! Half way through I realised there was a “ dub “ facility, which, I tried and it was dreadful, worse than the dubbing on Fist if fury for those of you who can remember! I absolutely recommend Thieves of the wood on Netflix! |

I often put the sub titles on for Americans who talk too fast or Brits who mumble.

Thought it was very good without blowing my doors off. Only seen one other Bong Joon-ho film previously - Snowpiercer which I thought was absolutely fantastic and far superior. Will have to go back and check out the rest of his catalogue.
Given what it was up against think it deserved best picture for sure. |
By:
i didn't realise he did snowpiercer watched it other nite , really enjoyed it
need to see what else he has done |
