I never answer the phone to numbers that I don't recognise and I just had a couple of scammers on. How do I know? I googled them.
The one from Sheffield actually left a message>..." this call is nothing to worry about, we'll call again later."
The other one was calling to threaten me with court-action apparently, over unpaid tax.
I have a two word response, and the second one is off!

I've had many calls from 'HMRC' advising me that a court order has been issued for my arrest but I'm still waiting for the authorities to arrive.

I have at least two every day, and never answer my phone....
Check the number when they close down, and if it's an 0800 number I use 1572, and add to my blocked calls.... If it is an unrecognised number I google it, and check the status, and I never had even one that was other than spam, so block that also! This is where it gets really annoying, as I know the current every day calls are from BT! They are using two numbers but they are unblockable.....well there's a surprise!!! |

I'm getting one similar Cooperman telling me they're taking 30odd quid this month if I want to stop it press 1 etc,i'm tempted to string them along for a bit but haven't bothered.

Never pressed 1 to speak to them, worried it transfers you to a premium rate line.

Another one I get is Visa/Mastercard security telling me a payment of £600 is about to leave my account to a foreign country.
