The BBC series that ended yesterday was interesting
This was followed by a documentary by Tom Marquand who
at the time was a journalist who handled Stephen ward
Stephen was the Pastie set up by the establishment
In the documentary Tom revels M15 had Stephen as one of his agents
Contrary to known facts
He also revealed another minister involved in the sex scandal that was NOT revealed

Marples was in a completely different sex scandal (or what would have been a sex scandal if anyone had known about it). The Denning Inquiry into the Profumo Affair turned up out of nowhere that Marples habitually used prostitutes.

The owner of 33 Eccleston Square was the Rt Hon Ernest Marples, Privy Counsellor, Minister for Transport and a former Postmaster General. Today he is remembered for implementing the Beeching cuts to the railway system, for introducing Premium Bonds, and for fleeing the country when under suspicion of tax fraud.

Tbh it is hard these days to get too excited that a bunch of poshos had sex.
A brilliant series, 5/5, all the acting first class. Got a bit annoying with him calling her "little baby" about 10 times every episode ! Keeler was more sinned against than sinned. Now we would call it grooming. She was young, barely out of childhood, gorgeous girl, but with a low IQ and poor background, dazzled by the bright lights of London, ripe for exploitation. Mandy Rice-Davies was perhaps even more dim but came out of it the best in the end. Both caught up with powerful men who were a lot older than them. Fascinating story !
