I would really appreciate some advice.

I use a Barclays debit card to fund my Betfair account. Recently withdrawals back to this card have been instantaneous, until yesterday.
The payment failed to appear within the two hour window quoted.

The payment has still not arrived today and live chat has advised they will have to open a ticket and provide an ARN number for me to provide to the bank in order to trace the missing payment.

This sounds like its going to take a long time for this to be resolved. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

Grateful for any input.

My last request 8th Jan.  In bank 10th Jan.  I thought it usually took a couple of days.

As Jack has said, it is usually not that speedy!

Barclays are sometimes an absolute pain in the butt!

Can I ask (without being specific) was it a significant amount, and more than usual?
It doesn't take much to trigger their fraud team, even though it was a payment inbound!

Do you have "Pay Pal" linked to this account?
If so, you may find it better to use this for withdrawals....

You will certainly see the transaction there immediately!

Thanks guys.

Nothing at all over the ordinary and was for under £500.

Will wait til Wednesday morning to be sure. Some time ago withdrawals had a pending period and would then arrive 2 days later. That stopped for me late last year so this was a surprise after having the last 20+ withdrawals arrive within seconds.

Yes ringy it’s been exactly the same for myself . Over Christmas and after I was surprised how quickly the money was in my account seemed to be instantaneous or there abouts
But last withdrawal 2 or 3 days ago , still waiting

It’s a nusiance , if it’s going to be a few days that’s fine you can plan for that
But if it has been immediate or almost before that then that is what you expect

Ifc1971,

Did you still get the message saying:

£xxx is in your account. If not, it will be within 2 hours.

Yes I did get that message , just glanced at it and was surprised at how quick it was
But then I glanced at the last withdrawal and suddenly it was saying within 2 to 5 days

That’s ok as I say ,if it’s going  to be a few days as it was in past then I can plan for that
But the previous withdrawals had been immediate

It’s cost me money actually because the money is neither here nor there
When since before Christmas that hasn’t been a problem

A bit :)  but to be fair there’s never been any problems ( fingers crossed)
I normally expect it could take a couple of days perhaps it was just as with ringy since before Christmas and even over the new year period the transaction was immediate pretty much
So of course this time I sort of expected the same , nevermind
