Tried to get a new remote for the Toshiba telly before Christmas. Went to Currys.

'Not in stock'. Telly shop not stocking remotes....

'Try Dyas'. A telly shop recommending a kitchen shop for a remote??

Get one from Dyas, the wrong one. Tried to swap it for the right one : 'not in stock'. Get refund and buy one from Amazon.

Today needed a cover for a Samsung Tablet. Go to independent computer shop. 'Not in stock'.

Go to second, small computer place. 'Not in stock. Try Amazon'. What?? Crazy

The classic was a mate who went to his bank for Euros. 'You need to order them. Try Tescos if you want them today'.Laugh

Maybe they did not fancy doing business with a committed and persistent racist.

I always try and avoid buying from Currys - they are the worst. I also avoid popping in to pick-up an item; the staff are mainly clueless, and only interested in selling product insurance. Also, they keep you waiting unnecessarily.

I ended up getting the tablet cover from Tescos. An out of town Tescos.

I had a hearing test at Scrivens today. You can still find such services in the high street especially if taxpayer funded.
