Dunno what argument they are trying to make here but its absolutely stupid
The issue isn't the betting firms streaming these games on their website, they've paid their fee and are well within their rights to stream them, anyone on these gambling platforms have chosen to be there and are verified and its above board
The issue here is that these betting firms are plastered all over the place, having their names associated with football teams and football competitions, as well as sponsoring horse races etc
Somehow though they've managed to spin it as bookmakers streaming games on their sites being the big issue and it effecting "mental health", you couldn't make this s*** up
These people live on a different world ffs

Football is a major betting medium now, since the removal of off course betting tax
To use the money generated by gambling for the betterment of football is a good idea. If gambling firms are supporting football, it would be a bit hard not to allow them to advertise it. This is reality we have to accept. |

All these articles about 'problem' gambling make me puke.
Yes, there will always be people who gamble more than they can afford, but why lump them in with us who enjoy our gambling and are not silly about it? I get more 'mental abuse' from people who look down their noses at me when it comes out I bet on football, sports, politics and poker etc. I try to explain that everyone has to pay for their entertainment so what is the difference? At least my 'entertainment' sometimes gives me money back, I don't see a restaurant or a theatre or the cinema giving the entrance fee back etc etc. |
