I'm pretty sure I'll know the name when I hear it. He was in hospital with a very nasty leg injury - a huge gash along most of the length of his thigh.
The rest I'm not sure about but I think he played in the mid 80s, possibly for QPR, and was called Mark (not Falco or Lazarus).

Maybe he didn't play for QPR. I seem to recall he was visited in hospital by his manager, Lawrie McMenemy. (It's not Mark Wright, btw.)
