Oh Great !

Another thread where the bitter talent-less masses take swipes at people who got off their jaxis and took a few risks to make it big.

RIP JJ but remember that millions of others had similar wartime experiences. JJ is noteworthy only in that he lived long enough to tell the tale, and more importantly that he put in the time and effort to do so.

In his own words: I was terrified. I think everyone was. You don't show it, but it's there. I look back on it as a big part of my life - but I was just a small part in a very big machine. You never forget your comrades because we were all in there together. It's right that the courage and sacrifice of so many is being honoured 75 years later. We must never forget.

But we are drifting off-topic.

Kudos to Warne, White etc for taking a risk by getting hair plugs. And Ian Wright for wearing glasses. Heroes all.

I always remember a line from the series L A Law in which a lawyer with naturally male pattern baldness with thick black hair at the sides was representing a man who was suing the makers of the Toupee that he wore as people could spot it and was causing him embarrassment. The lawyer said to a colleague during the case(which was causing much amusement to others in the office) with the line, "Who has more confidence, a man who leaves his baldness as it is, for all the world to see, or a man who wears a Toupee/wig to hide his baldness(knowing that a lot of people could tell he was wearing a toupee).
Think this is very much the case here and if both these fellas feel better about themselves wearing toupees/having transplant or whatever then good luck to them. Jimmy White in particular has had far more to worry about having had Testicular cancer then worrying about a few hairs! Good on them i say.

Shane Warne's baggy green cap has sold at auction for more than $ 1million, with the funds going towards helping those affected by the Australian bushfires.
