They do say that absence makes the heart grow fonder, and that may well be true for custard creams.
It was a biscuit that I had rejected for many a year, neither purchasing any or selecting one if offered a choice.
But, due to various circumstances, I have been reintroduced to them and now wonder what they ever did to offend me.

Much prefer the butter crunch sandwich tbh but each to their own
Its a split second of difference between heaven and a cup full of mush when dunking any any butter crunch biscuit, you need to concentrate.
Tad too sweet for me these days.. Still firmly top five.

I would love a custard cream now , or a chocolate digestive .
Bought a packet of the Tesco rhubarb and custards and they are a nice biscuit, a very pleasant surprise.
Always been my favourite go to biscuit the custard cream. Yum.
Was given some shortbread for Christmas, like eating sawdust. Yuk.
You cannot beat a custard cream dunked in a mug of Heinz tomato soup.
The custard cream made in Carlisle in the worlds oldest mechanised biscut factory. the Carr family are quakers and built the factory to provide food and employment to the poor working class people in Carlisle. Up until recently the workers had an excellent pension scheme.
It's almost as if the Christian Reformation was a good thing...

Best biscuit for dunking are custard creams because its a quick whip and out 
Worst are those ridiculous crumbly cookie biscuits I've forgot the name of but its got to be so quick you don't even get them dunked ffs, otherwise its half a cookie in your tea

Surely Nice biscuits are the worst dunkers, paper thin and fall apart at the thought of touching the tea.

Am I the only one that has ever dunked a Jaffa Cake?...Better than you would think.
