Corbyn

The US assassination of Qasem Soleimani is an extremely serious and dangerous escalation of conflict with global significance. The UK government should urge restraint on the part of both Iran and the US, and stand up to the belligerent actions and rhetoric coming from the US.
I am currently arranging to attend the great mans funeral Shocked

We have been killing people in the Middle East since 1990.

What exactly has it achieved?

I agree with Corbyn...although I doubt anyone else on here does

This Qasem guy was the number 1 enemy of the Saudis and did a lot more fighting against ISIS than the Americans.

True. Maybe it's in Trumps personal election interests for ISIS to be strong again and conflict in the middle east?

Trump certainly doesn't stop sucking up to Israel and Saudi.

No one is fooled by Trump anymore but his supporters who have no other option but to play along

They've even admitted to seeding the clouds today... of course spun it to mean they are trying to stop "climate change" of course but admitted to seeding nonetheless

They can no longer hide it all its as simple as that

Is there something to back up this claim?

I've just seen the photos of this general. He was in the news a couple of months ago as someone who revolutionized the Iranian intelligence services or something on those lines. Looks like we may be in for a few skirmishes on Iraqi territory. Safe for both the countries involved and a moneymaker for the sponsors of the equipment.

Telegraph claims british troops in Iraq under an increased threat. Time to send in more sheep? Or pull out the ones already there? Think its safe to say it'll be the former.

By:

I presume they are here because they know that only a few will be refused refugee status and all he benefits that brings.

They would go to the nearest country of refuge if that was the case I would think. Some of them spend months in France waiting to break in here, one on the video was removed and paid to be smuggled in again. There must be a financial reason for targeting our system.

He was convicted in absentia and sentenced to death by Kuwait for his role in the 1983 attacks on the U.S. and French embassies in Kuwait, in which five Kuwaitis were killed.

He has had a good run imo  , Perhaps the Kuwait Mob sent Don a few quid Grin

It's all the world needs
Religious nutters on one side and a money worshipping guy whos nearly 80 on the other.

There are no US Iranian embassies, they got run out in the 70s.
The ones in the middle are Europe but they are largley redundant since trump drew lines in the Nuclear agreement scrapping.

If I were Iran Id go nuts deep in nuclear development now and hope the Russian ambivilence and Chinese mistrust through trade issues falls behind them.

His CV included helping Shia militias to kill hundreds of American troops during the US invasion of Iraq,  backing Assad as he slaughtered civilians by the thousands during the Syrian civil war, and most recently overseeing the slaughter of hundreds of anti-Iran protesters in Iraq.

I don't think you'll find many people on here sad that this guy is dead, but what has happened to Trump saying the US should be out of the ME etc? 3k more troops sent there now. I know he liked saying Obama would start a war with Iran to get re-elected, but what is the upside here for Trump? A war with Iran is not going to be popular in the US. Perhaps the evangelicals have more clout in the admin that I thought they had Sad
