Liberal Democrat MP Layla Moran has announced she is pansexual and in a relationship with a woman.
Pansexuality describes those who are attracted to a person regardless of their sex or gender.
According to the charity the LGBT Foundation, pansexuality is different from bisexuality - but they are not mutually exclusive and some people identify as both.
"Being bisexual means being attracted to more than one gender, while being pansexual means being attracted to people regardless of gender," the foundation said.
Meanwhile, charity Stonewall says pansexual "refers to a person whose romantic and/or sexual attraction towards others is not limited by sex or gender" - and bisexual people may also describe themselves as pansexual.

I used to like GAYLORDS. Quite a few blokes of that persuasion hit on me from age 15-25. I was a good looking young bloke with blonde hair. Didn't bother me. It's actually flattering. Most of those I didn't even realise were gay. Or Bi. Just normal blokes. I'd say I don't go that way and all was cool.
These days I wonder what happened to the GAYLORDS? They've all gone mental. This obsession with gender and sexuality and toilets and pregnant men is incredibly boring to the 98% of the population that aren't gay. What is the agenda? I used to respect GAYLORDS more when all they did was drink and drugs and have 48 hour parties and hundreds of sexual partners. Now they want to tell me that if I don't like the idea of gender neutral toilets in schools I'm some kind of Neanderthal. |

Pan is the god of the wild, shepherds and flocks, nature of mountain wilds, rustic music and impromptus, and companion of the nymphs. He has the hindquarters, legs, and horns of a goat, in the same manner as a faun or satyr. So maybe she like mostly shepherds and nymphs for impromptu (dogging) stuff ? |

I do think people should keep their sexuality private, but the bigger picture is lesbian or gay people often feel ashamed and confused being different, and they need visible role models.
That said, in this instance I infer that Layla Moran is critisizing parliament for not being sexually groovy, and that hip young people should experiment with same sex relationships, and is not trying to be a role model |
