Blame un-social media for it, without it she wouldn't exist.

It has been a superb PR exercise and using a little girl who is ill as its sacrificial head is brilliant. You cannot attack her or the ideas of the people behind her as it is bullying. Brilliant who ever thought up this trendy organisation - cos that is what it is. And a brilliant money spinner as we drip tears down our cheeks as they bring out the polar bears again.

She is correct in everything she says.
We're destroying this planet. But hey, let's attack a 16 year old girl. |
|
By:
If the 'experts' put up a kid to get their propaganda across, the kid will get the flack. Not surprising really, and laying that 'attacking a girl 'guilt tip on people will not work.

She is correct in everything she says. - Facts
U sure govnor!? She's a kid!!!! |

By:
Am aware of her but have never seen her in action.
Once you've seen Lena Zavaroni/Bonnie Langford types then you've seen 'em all. |
|
By:
We are changing the planet but not in the way she thinks. The problem is out of control population growth. Science has provided the means to correct this but few are listening. There is power in numbers and that is all those with the biggest influence over people's minds care about.
|
|
By:
When she goes to India, China or America, I'll start listening to her. Otherwise she's just like the politicians, asking the stupid Western public for favors to benefit her own agenda.
|
|
By:
We have another child star malala, a nobel prize winner because she said Taliban were bad. The same state under Indian military lockdown and not a word from her. Very easy to manipulate public opinion and even easier to make them forget, just feed them enough junk on TV.

Foinavon is right
World population is expected to grow by 2.2 billion over the next 30 years, 2 billion of which will be in Africa and Asia. I don’t deny that Western countries need to lead the way in cutting emissions, but birth control education is the key to the planets future. But that would probably be seen as Western control of 3rd world countries, so won’t get much media coverage. |
|
By:
Carbon emissions don't lead to global warming nor cooling. You only have to look at temperatures pre industrialisation to see that.
Carbon emissions DO lead to local global climate change. Destroy trees and build houses and the temperature has to rise.. |
|
By:
I suspect that the rush to extract energy from the wind will result in localised change too. How much energy can you extract without interfering with natural circulation and energy exchange between regions?

This is it
You can't attack a mentally ill loner as you say, its brilliant as she garners public sympathy for her mental illness and still gets to virtue signal into the bargain BUT. You can attack the people who fund her and use her as their billboard for carbon tax, and anyone who says she's not funded how the heck does she travel around the world using every fackers public transport to parrot this nonsense? Her handlers can be attacked and should be attacked, using a "sick" girl ffs, the question should be 'why don't her handlers push this narrative, why don't they show their grubby little faces?' |

I wonder if she'll ever be a guest on one of those celebrity chat shows in 12 years time and the host asks 'Hey Greta aren't we all supposed to be dead by now?'
|
|
By:
No need to wonder Kamikazee. People will have forgotten by then, people only like to complain about what the media shows them, and what's in fashion at the time. I doubt the media will want to give Greta a hard time, unless there's loads of money to be made from no climate change, which I doubt.
|

The media bounce from one thing to another
11 years ago it was how we were all going to die through financial collapse, 11 years on we're all still here and the stock markets are at all time highs and everyone still goes to work, albeit working harder than they were which was probably the goal anyway. Youtubers who make money from fear mongering were all over the financial collapse whilst selling you financial advice ffs. Then we got Russia are going nuke everyone, china are readying nukes, North Korea are about to go full blooded... Nothing! Now its climate change is going to kill us all, give it 10 years and it'll be something else, and no one questions a facking thing during or after the doomsday alert |
|
By:
Nothing is going to happen
You're just going to be working more hours and paying more tax. Whilst that lot laugh themselves to sleep because of how easy it is to manipulate people. |
|
By:
think of all the appearance fees or is she going to do it for nothing and what will she live off in that case?
gore is behind a lot of this egged on by all the 'charities' who scoop up all your contributions it's a great career move into these charities with plenty of chances of abusing your position as well |

Found this gem from The Guardian 2004.
![]() Climate change over the next 20 years could result in a global catastrophe costing millions of lives in wars and natural disasters.. A secret report, suppressed by US defence chiefs and obtained by The Observer, warns that major European cities will be sunk beneath rising seas as Britain is plunged into a 'Siberian' climate by 2020. Nuclear conflict, mega-droughts, famine and widespread rioting will erupt across the world. https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2004/feb/22/usnews.theobserver Anyone else a tad chilly? |
