Does anyone still buy this at xmas, do they even still print them?
For me the anticipation was almost unbearable, waiting for it to arrive mid December. Wanting to know if Jason & The Argonauts, Where Eagles Dare etc were on.
God, life must have been boring in the 70's.

The Mrs bought one at Christmas for years, I eventually persuaded her it was a waste of money bearing in mind we hardly watched any of the carp anyway.

loved the xmas radio times, ticked everything i wanted to see over the period,do you remember billie smarts circus and on itv i think it was, 90 mins prog showing a little of each comedy that was on at the time ,and i recall on bbc 2 around 10.am every day over 1 particilar xmas showing the full tarzan films, watching them with my dad

Page after page of small ads for holidays on the Norfolk Broads. Or, for the more upmarket, invitations to Go Pontinental.
The great thing was that each ad included a FREEPOST address to send off for a full-colour catalogue. When I was about ten, I used to write off for a couple of dozen of them every Christmas, and browse through them in wonder all through January. Then, every August, we'd still end up setting off for a week at exactly the same guest house in Ramsgate as the previous summer. Never mind. At least by then the Beano Summer Special would be out. |

There are DVDs with loads of back copies on ebay if you look, hers one (and no I am not or dont know who's selling them).
