David Amess MP wants Southend to become a city.  He said that city status is awarded in conjunction with Royal milestones, such as Jubilees or significant birthdays.  He then suggested that a city status may be up for grabs when Philip turns 100 in 18 months time.  Don't get too excited, I thought.

woman 47  in wales fell and broke her foot this week......had to wait 6 hours for an ambulance......she lay outside her house in the cold....but sadly died in hospital.....and dukey gets an helicopter and not even a 6 minute wait
