...has been criticised as fundamentally discriminatory, according to UN Human Rights Office. The new law expedites citizenship for certain religious minorities eg Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains, Parsis and Christians resident in India before 2014, but excludes Muslim and minority sects.

I wonder why? India, Bangladesh and Pakistan are neighbours.

It used to be Communism but that has fallen, so it is now Islam

India has 700,000 soldiers in the state of Kashmir, population 15 million. That's one soldier for every 20 people. And that's more soldiers than the whole Pakistan army! In other words, that's the 6th largest army deployed in a single state, fighting what exactly?

They have taken the alternative route nation-wide now. Suppress the muslims, like China is doing. Discriminatory yes. But their country their laws.

China presently has the world's largest economy, and is America's banker. As such, they practically can do as they wish with little impunity; they also own a large chunk of countries in Africa. They do not colonise the host countries but fund their infrastructure in return for commodities necessary to facilitate/cement their position as the world's largest economy.

Islam/Muslim, why the level of tolerance and acceptance significantly less than others eg Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism, Taoism, Hinduism, etc? I'm very surprised India has adopted this new citizenship law despite the main religion of their neighbour Pakistan is Islam and the people Muslim; Rohinja in Burma is another. There are many more in other parts of the world.

In front of the media this community will strike all the correct notes, away from it a different matter hence the cheating and law breaking activities for an advantage; they are renowned for double standards eg their females are subservient to their males even the educated ones; their males disrespectful to other females including their own, but can play the field with impunity.

They are religious eg go to prayers regularly or seem to be religious but they practice double standards in a big way. They also suffer from an identity issue ie their conservative way of life (from teachings) tend to clash with the modern life of the west.

As I've said many times before I've friends from many faiths and countries but not one from this community - not one. And, I do come across a fair few in my field. Similarly, my friends said the same too.

Like I said before, their country their laws. But by excluding one religious minority from a list of minorities, you're just sinking to their level. Even Pakistan refers to its controversial minority(the one that has its own prophet) as 'non-muslim minority' instead of excluding them completely. Modi this year has lied a number of times especially about hitting training camps in Pakistan and downing their jets. He was still elected as India's leader!

You can't keep the second largest muslim population in the world quiet for long. Its already a shethole and probably going to get worse with all the riots going on.

Fcek if I am not agreeing with some people I do not normally agree with and then of course we have the usual neanderthal and **** erectus comments!

The Law is a disgrace and an affront. India was created as a secular state to avoid hatred and ignorance. P akistan was created on the basis of religion and look at it!

Some of the racists and just plain ignorant bigots on this tread are just puppies compared to the bigots and racists in India. The BJP make the BNP and is it now called The English Defence League look like the PJ Tips chimpanzees.

Welcoming alien cultures will not avoid hatred if that culture is a pain in the arse to everyone else. Calling people who do not like the effect that troublesome sections of society bring to bear 'ignorant' is a bit simplistic.

"Calling people who do not like the effect that troublesome sections of society bring to bear 'ignorant' is a bit simplistic"

I wholly agree. These people have had past experiences living abroad not experiencing there what is presently very prevalent in the UK eg living in clusters; non-integration; targeting vulnerable young white girls for sexual abuse; dominance and arrogance; cheating and law breaking to gain; etc.

I believe discussing and debating issues that are virtually a minority group specific eg living in clusters, non-integration, targeting and abusing vulnerable young white girls on an industrial scale, cheating, etc, ought not to be stifled unless one is in denial - we need to know and understand why it is happening in The UK mainly and not elsewhere.

Following a religion without the ability to understand and question it's teachings is clearly flawed, and could have dire consequences. The combination of illiteracy and religion could result in a powder keg if not kept in check.

we need to know and understand why it is happening in The UK mainly and not elsewhere.

Do you think this is widespread amongst all muslims for example what about those living in Malaysia and Indonesia?

Some do because they are ignorant and stupid. Child abuse is not a religious issue. It is a cultural issue amongst particularly Pakistan Tribes but also all societies regardless of religion but don't get me started on the Catholics.
Report impossible123 December 16, 2019 4:43 PM GMT
For your info the Muslims in question are the Muslims from South Asia the predominant source of UK Muslims.

I do agree the grooming and sexual abuse of vulnerable young white local females is not religion specific/related but a community from this region ie almost entirely Pakistanis who were mainly uneducated minicab or Uber drivers. But, why did they only target local girls and not others eg Chinese, Japanese, Filipino, Caribbean, Brazilian, European, etc? There must be a reason.

I've a few friends and a relative in Malaysia, and also visited on a few occasions in the last 15/20 years; the Muslims there - the majority - do not behave in the same manner as the Muslims from South Asia do in The UK. Also, there are very few Muslims from Malaysia and Indonesia in The UK (mainly former students) compare to those from South Asia. And, neither do they not integrate nor live in clusters.

This is just an example of how kids grow up in some parts of the world. There is no time for these kids to think about what they are doing. The fruitfulness of it. Assuming these kids grow up killing muslims around the world, anywhere and everywhere they go, would you say this is a religions(Hindu) issue? Or a cultural issue?
Report impossible123 December 16, 2019 5:47 PM GMT
I firmly believe religion or culture does not have a bearing on the behaviour of kids who are the future. However, their upbringing (how and by who), the environment (happy/secure/peaceful or not) they are brought up and the company (peers/teachers/friends) they keep are paramount to the dna of a child into maturity and adulthood; kids are generally adaptable with no preconceived hate, anger or malice in them.

And, when I post here about Muslims I meant the Muslims from South Asia the predominantly source of Muslims in The UK, and no where else. Similarly, conversations with my friends at social meets.

At the very least, 2-3 generations in the middle east can easily be radicalized with images of Abu Ghraib alone. War torn, no education, nothing productive that the youth can do etc. Ripe for recruitment, as they always have been in the recent past. Their future is out of our control. And since almost every EU country has sent troops to the region, we all get painted with the same brush, even though its mainly US and UK carrying out the invasions. The hatred will last generations.

There is no point blaming Islam or banning it. How far have we come by blaming koran and islam after every single attack? The only solution that I have always said here as well is isolation. You protect yourself. And that hasn't happened since the governments are themselves involved in importing these people. They can do that without any consequences, because the public will never look past Islam.

That's why I say Islam as a tool to control the population is way more dangerous than Islam itself. Divide and Rule. You empower the minority and pit them against the main population. People will fight among themselves and once there is lack of harmony and peace, the govt offers the people the desired solution and in the process strengthens its own standing among the people. This is basic political strategy. Europe is just at the beginning of this cycle I believe.
Report posy December 16, 2019 6:25 PM GMT
Seems a rational law ;basically it's recognising that followers of minority religions in the region are liable to persecution and can be given the protection of Indian citizenship. The same set of criteria can hardly apply to the Infidels from Afghanistan,Bangla Desh and Pakistan. If they don't like it they've the option of returning to their homeland where of course they will be in the majority.

One problem we have, everybody has one vote, but there are more women than men..

Because of this we need to either adjust each women's vote down or each man's vote up....so there is an equal input from both sexes

That would create a fairer voting  system

The Muslim women are undoubtedly more intelligent and savvy than their male counterparts - my female Muslim friends from Turkey and Kurdistan are testament to that similarly in my profession; their brothers tend to be loud-mouth, full-of-themselves, lazy, less educated and arrogant. This applies to their female Muslim friends too; seems to be a fairly typical representation in Muslim families.

The above is usually to exercise control eg less educated = less ability to communicate within/outside world = easier to control eg Saudi women when even driving was forbidden. The ability to drive ---> more freedom ---> work ---> independence (finance) ---> freedom of speech (if living separately) ---> less control by the men.

Even with my friends they'd not embarrass/denigrate their brothers publicly as the brothers would shout at them infront of me and/or their friends. To the Muslim males education and successful careers do not mean seniority in family for their females; a rather backward and old-fashion custom, and possibly the arrogance in public to reinforce their stupidity (perhaps).
