A sedated goose would keep your head warm imo, and look rather dashing.

Carmen Miranda never got a cold head with her fruit hat

You want a Peaky Blinder cap C-m.

You'll look like Tommy Shelby.

I sometimes stick a couple of rabbits on my head.  Keeps it nice and warm and from a distance they look like hares.

One of those very small pointy cone hats made from red shiny cardboard with an elastic cord under the chin. The sort of hat kids wear at parties.

It won’t keep you warm but it will get you noticed and that’s the most important thing.

Edwina Curry had got this covered back in 1987.

''Tory health minister Edwina Currie ‘advised’ elderly people who couldn’t afford to heat their homes properly that they should avoid hypothermia by wearing woolly hats and long johns.''

What a woman!

That's what I call a proper Tory.

You can't beat a flat cap but get a good one made in Yorkshire otherwise you'll be chasing it down the street in gusty weather.

isnt a flat cap a bit too fashionable at the moment?
Report Whisperingdeath December 18, 2019 7:04 PM GMT
I went a whole winter without turning my heating on in the form of an FU to the Gas Board. My little protest at increasing prices. I wore two cashmere sweaters and if I did feel cold I did a a few press ups. I utilised the oven when I cooked to add some heat at times. My place is well insulated so it was not a problem but I do like being warm.

With regard to having a cold head I am fortunate to have the mane of a lion. I wear a woollen bobble hat most of the time but when it gets really cold as stated on a different fred I have a Siberian Fox fur hat. Far too hot but good if you are standing around like at football or you have do drink outside because your mates smoke. You cannot beat real fur to keep your head warm.
Report Callisto-moon December 18, 2019 7:15 PM GMT
cheers.

do you live alone? as I love that idea but my kids might kick off
Report Whisperingdeath December 18, 2019 7:40 PM GMT
Laugh

Yes I do! Mrs 'Death bought an electric blanket and I have to switch the heating on hours before she comes down!

If the kids get cold tell them to do some house work! Ironing while watching soaps or realty tv is a good idea for them! Spare the rod and spoil the child. It is a good thing they understand life isn't fair!
Report Dr Crippen December 18, 2019 7:54 PM GMT
A good thrashing usually warms the kids up.

But how cold you get depends a lot on the how fat you are. Those close to the bone feel the cold a lot more than the someone carrying loads of fat.
