His dream of a political career falls apart when the local party agent tells him he’s far too working class for the modern Labour Party.
It’s truer now than it was back then. And still funnier and more accurate than just about anything the BBC puts out today.

When I saw this heading the first thing I thought of was a friend of mine years ago who went for a really important job interview. He came to speak to me about it as they had told him to be expected to talk for fifteen minutes about something completely unconnected with the job.
