I've never hidden the fact that I can't stand the woman but on a serious note, I'm starting to worry about her mental health. She seems to get more bizarre on a daily basis.

I wouldn't wish any form of illness on anyone.

There is a simple explanation for this rather embarrassing incident.

Diane had merely forgotten which constituency she represented and was adhering to Labour’s Peterborough guidelines for the plebiscite. It’s an honest mistake to make, but watch out for her turning up in two right shoes and a blue coat for her second vote.

I've done it myself, got as far as the cafe. But I wasn't doing photo shoots trying to get elected for parliament that particular morning.
Report saddo December 12, 2019 2:47 PM GMT
Anxious, if she is ill to the point that she can't dress herself, should she be responsible for any public office?
Report Pokermonster December 12, 2019 2:47 PM GMT
She definitely is not in the best of health, that much is blatantly obvious.

In any normal circumstance, however, one would imagine that such a diagnosis should rather put a crimp in one’s career as Shadow Home Secretary. Not in today’s Labour Party.
Report Dr Crippen December 12, 2019 2:49 PM GMT
She's standing because she's an automatic choice in here constituancy.

She's the Shadow Home Secretary because Labour hold the electorate in contempt.

Even better; her constituency.
Report moisok December 12, 2019 2:53 PM GMT
diabetes can really slow you down - it is rather worrying because if she is really unwell why keep her flogging away - the seat is a safe one
Time to pack in for the sake of her health.
Report casemoney December 12, 2019 2:54 PM GMT
She was always going to stand 30,000 plus majority ,Mind you in Hackney Fred West would probably win under the Labour Banner.
Report Dr Crippen December 12, 2019 2:56 PM GMT
She's obviously ill as well as being incompetent, but that's been apparent for some time.

You can't have people in that state running the country. Which is another reason for not voting Labour.
Report anxious December 12, 2019 2:57 PM GMT
She is 67 now i dont think she will be involved much longer
Report alun2005 December 12, 2019 2:58 PM GMT
If she's not well (which is possible), then why on Allah's green earth is she not only standing as an MP, but could also be Home Secretary tomorrow?  That's a tough workload for even fit and health people.
Report anxious December 12, 2019 2:58 PM GMT
Crippen she is not perfect but neither is a serial liar  running to be prime minister
Report stewarts rise December 12, 2019 3:01 PM GMT
She should jack it all in for her own sake and for the Labour Partys sake imo.
Report lux December 12, 2019 3:01 PM GMT
On balance what is worse, being a serial liar or accepting paid employment from a regime who execute children for being gay?

Report lux December 12, 2019 3:16 PM GMT
I think you'll find Boris can't take sole responsibility for that.

so, a silly comparison
Report Dr Crippen December 12, 2019 3:20 PM GMT
She's a close friend of Corbyn's and he's the Labour leader.

These people look after themselves, they couldn't care less about the people who vote for them because they know that the proletariat will always vote Labour.

She's sure to get a better pension for occupying that position.

wonder who  she voted for ?
Report RacingCert December 12, 2019 4:11 PM GMT
I’ve been saying for a long time on these threads that she is clearly unwell.
It would have been the responsible thing not to stand.
Surely she won’t go on for 5 more years, if indeed the next parliament lasts that long.
Very sad and her colleagues must take a share of the blame for this.
Report saddo December 12, 2019 4:51 PM GMT
The momentum spivs don't care about her health, they'll prop her up like a dead Brezhnev if they have to.
Report impossible123 December 12, 2019 6:58 PM GMT
Criticism and joking aside, Ms Abbott is clearly unwell (her footwear says plenty), and I hope she's sought proper and appropriate assistance. If only her Party had intimated as such when asked by the media where she was; far from proper for a public figure let alone the shadow home sec venturing out on Polling Day looking like that.
Report posy December 12, 2019 7:44 PM GMT
Call me uncharitable but I'd rather this cochroach of a human dropped dead than being appointed Home Secretary. She's been lining her pockets and conning her ignorant constituents for more years than I care to remember.
Report impossible123 December 12, 2019 7:54 PM GMT
Even her superiors would take the responsibility off her if the unforeseen happens. She clearly is not herself, the predicament with her son has not helped. Anyway, where's that idiot? He ought to have made sure her mum was properly attired or at least accompanied her to the Polling Station.
