your mum told you he'd been murdered and you asked her "is he dead?". you weren't too sharp back then either were you?

lennon was a prize erbert. reading some of his pronouncements is excruciating. adolescent garbage. why he is taken seriously is a mystery, and nothing magical about it. 'bed-in for peace' in a 5 star hotel. wac. the fact that terry thinks a monumental fraud and dilettante like him is some sort of sage whose wisdom is missed is a sorry indication of the level this dismal forum is at. man.

no they did not. they wrote independently. as highlighted by ringo, the worlds luckiest geezer, from the dingle. he never took any of it seriously, and has been enjoying the ride ever since.

Ringo was hardly lucky. He was a fantastic drummer and the missing piece to propel The Beatles to greatness.

The whole anti-Ringo stuff is some of the laziest, ill-considered crap ever. He was an awesome drummer.

Here was the live TV announcement - during an NFL match - in America. No UK TV on air at the time.

i know nothing about drum-bashing with sticks, but ive known a few 'drummers', and they are talentless goons who fulfil a basic function. i do not believe he was the missing piece that propelled them to super-stardom. any erbert would have done. and, btw, i wasnt criticising him, merely saying he done well for a dingler, a place i know well.

dunno why im replying to anything posted by a conspiracy-wanchor like you. your opinion is worthless.

Grappler, you're so right of course.

The bed in was a fraud & drumming is easy peasy

Just remind us again what you did 50 years ago that people still talk about?

or tell us about the mega band you were part of.

Decent drummers vastly outnumber decent songwriters.

was lennon a prize erbert? yes. what i did before i was born is hardly relevant. and i have not been in a band.

Grappler, for someone who knows nothing about drumming you sure like to advertise it.

I've roughly known Pete Best from when I was a kid but listen to or read about them with him compared to Ringo.

They were a great trio with a 5/10 drummer and had the sense to upgrade him to the best in the city at the time. The rest is history.

wrong about what? are you a conspiracy-loon? er..yes. moon-landing, 9/11. your stupidity is well documented

would the beatles have succeeded without what you say is the final piece in the jigsaw, namely ringo. of course. he was unimportant but is an affable geezer who got lucky, and fair play to the bugger.

Not really sure where you've been going with the conspiracies and moon landing stuff.

Your apology will be graciously accepted once you can be bothered checking and figure out who you've confused me with.

As for Ringo, he was simply a great drummer. They may have gone on to be successful with a mediocre drummer. But they wouldn't have been as good.
