After insensitive comments about the Grenfel disaster. £140k a year pension not bad at 50, was she promoted through the ranks, ie) did she start as an ordinary Firewoman or was this another PC appointment.
She started out as a firewoman and worked her way up through the system over several decades.
I believe she was on first dates (ch4) a few months back, she came across as being quite a fun loving girl.
Good luck to her imho.

One insensitive and inappropriate comment in the Grenfell Enquiry a respectable and experienced fire chief who'd learned her craft from basement level, and who was on the scene of the fire soon after had to leave her post early - I understand it was inevitable given the tragic circumstances and number of deaths involved. But, none of the people/entities truly responsible for the almighty fire had been held responsible or brought to justice since.
A well-earned pension is the only recompense - it's well deserved after nearly 3 decades of service. And, I hope she can be proud of her contribution, and be left alone to enjoy the rest of her life. Maybe given her (young) age she can embark on something just as useful and successful as her time as a fire woman and fire chief in the near future; she did not cause the Grenfell fire, an insensitive and ill-timed comment was.
Good luck to Ms Cotton whatever she chooses to pursue next in her life.
