Lee Hall, convicted before 1999 so can choose between lethal injection or the electric chair.  He chose the chair.

He's gone medically blind during his prison time.  His lawyers say that to execute a blind man "offends humanity".  I reckon setting fire to a 22-year-old woman's car whilst she's in it, giving her 90% burns and a day of suffering before dying "offends humanity".

I wonder if for his final meal he ordered in a J D Wetherspoon Gourmet Tennessee Burger .... no doubt cooked to crispy perfection!
After what he did any sympathy quickly evaporates

the fact he's lost his sight shouldn't be a factor unless he was blind at the time so i'm confused  ,the only factor i feel would be if it was absolutey proved the murder was not intended ...( but that is very debatable )  in other words ,a mental act of anger that went tragically wrong .

old testament guys will always want the death penalty of course but you have to  also  have to say  ..what if she survived  /managed to get out of the car .

luck can't play a part in sentencing surely ? it has to be about the intent   ..and whether someone is mentally capable to judge

For those interested in this subject, google the Georgia execution tapes.  Executions aren't supposed to be recorded but in about 1999/2000 it was revealed that Georgia had been making audio recordings, with commentary, of executions in order to cover themselves if something went wrong.  Bits were released, including the full execution of Ivon Stanley on July 12th 1984.  This was quite special for me as it's around the date of my conception.  He didn't make a statement but there is someone else who made a statement that you can hear.  Georgia recorded all 23 executions from 1983 to 1998, which must include Nicholas Ingram in 1995 but I can't find his unfortunately.

Reports of his death were greatly exaggerated!  Just watched the media conference, at 01:17 (UK) the sponges were still being fitted.  Chair went on at 01:18 and death pronounced at 01:26.
