Why would Labour care about anti-semitism anyway?

I just cant understand it, everyday Labour are getting in knots over something that makes very little impact on the result.
Even if Labour went extra vigilant on it the majority of Jews would still not vote for those types of policies anyway given a larger percentile are affluent.
The tories dont seem to be too arsed about their Muslim issues.

It's not just a case of votes lost or gained from Jews or Muslims, it's case of how each party is perceived by the rest of the electorate.
And the perception is that Labour is a party where anti-Semitism is allowed.

And worse is that anyone who votes Labour is likely to be tarred with the same brush.

If you take a stance on a polemic subject like the Palestinian plight then you are choosing sides, somebody is going to get upset.

Meanwhile there are 2,700,000 Muslims and 80% of them vote Labour.

I dont know whether the accusations are anti-semitic or just down to a group of people who had found a home in the ideology of the tories following thatcher's courting of them....and the subsequent moving to the left after Blair. Milliband was a Jew himself ofc.

Not exclusive to Judaism ofc, but if a collective call themselves 'god's people' that infers anyone not in their clique isn't god's chosen ones. Its the nastiest trick devised by man....yet for some reason its permissable without any credible evidence at all.

Apparently theres a 'dossier' compiled against Corbyn et al. I dont know what the accusations are because they are reported in the Telegraph and other right leaning publications and they want me to pay them to reveal it.

The point of the opening comment was simply a statement of fact regarding often used accusation and counter accusation between political parties to destabalise each other. If one is guilty of prejudism then they both are...if one isnt then perhaps neither are. If politics is allowed to target groups of voters on policy then it stands to reason you dont go after certain voters. Thats not to say hate should come into it, but from a numbers perspective I just dont see why Labour who are possibly guilty of criticism of Israel should worry too much about lost votes.

For the rcord anti semitism (whatever that happens to be) is wrong.

I have no doubt that if you are a Tory voter you are far more likely to be a racist or antisemitic than if you vote Labour or LibDem. The Tory Party has a long history of racism and it's only in recent years that it has made any effort to address the issue.

I wouldnt be so sure of that. I think its possible that one or two people in the working mens clubs in poor areas could be a little bit racist. Some might even be homophobic as well.
