Whats wrong with the Peloton excercise bike advert then?

I bought my wife an Iron for Christmas last year and she wasn't happy because she doesn't like golf so I had it.

I'd give mine some wood if I had one.

Having a Look at a few of Rears getting out of The School run Tractors ,they are beyond PELOTON , the Machine would collapse ,

I wonder if any of the Hubbies bought the cars for the wife ?

I don't get it either. Obviously she is already slim, but that doesn't automatically make her fit. Also not sure what is dystopian about it - far more dystopian things going on in the UK and the rest of the world than some bloke buying his wife an exercise bike

some people love being offended, to the point where they will scrutinise anything to see if it could possibly be offensive to someone (as long as that 'someone' is not white, male, hetero and able-bodied)

Apparently it implies the man thinks the woman is fat.

A cardio workout is good for the heart.  Clue's in the name - cardio from Greek cardi = heart.  As bloob says, certain groups look to be offended.

I'm getting my woman her favourite perfume.  I'm sure there are some who'd say it's because I think she smells.

As for Peloton - £2k-ish for a bike and £40-ish per month subscription?

he should have got her chocolates and perfume just like any other bloke, and then later in the evening, when the kids have gone to bed, given her the lingerie he had bought her

Anyone who mounts one of those contraptions every day to pedals their balls off, thinking it will get rid of some weight needs their heads examining.

And if you're worried about your heart or have heart disease, a brisk walk will do you as much good.

Spot on Dr C, I bought one (not the same brand) for cardio work, boring as fck, a brisk walk is far more enjoyable, and as good if not better.

I have an excercise bike and a treadmill....both might be considered boring but they have their place.
Instead of seeing them as alternatives to roadbikes or walks in car fume land, see them as alternatives to sitting on the settee watching tv, or using a screen like an ipad, much like standing desks.

The other benefit is that you can just do a blast on them and not have to worry about trying to get home with jelly legs or looking a berk struggling on an incline etc

I live in Dunchurch Warks, so not so bad re car fumes etc, A walk around Draycote Water from my place is 5 miles+.......... it's a reservoir and country park near the village of Dunchurch, 3.75 miles south of Rugby in Warwickshire, England, owned and operated by Severn Trent Water.

Whatever you do, if that's what you want to do then that's how it should be.

Add to that the chemicals in the exhausts that increase heart attacks and strokes of people unfortunate enough to live near a main road....the cheating done by emissions software, and the data I read recently that suggests fumes are worse inside the cars than actually walking beside them.
