Black Friday ,disco Monday, mother’s day what a load of **** ....and people bye into this . Soon be Christmas .is it me ...humbug

I bought a few items from Holland and Barrett a few days prior, and they were cheaper then with free collection; Black Friday and Cyber Monday are merely a "marketing" ploy to dump old stocks and to fleece consumers.

Bonfire night , Furnace Friday  , Ash Wednesday  ..where will it all end ?

Ban all credit and debt card transactions online is the only full-proof way.

Why protect fools?

Online shopping is a form of psychological sickness similar to online gambling where the urge to shop is insurmountable for some. But, the protection of a 7-day cooling (return) period is extremely helpful to most when their senses (returned).

I worked on a project last month where I was writing a report on how useful black Friday really is. And if the sales are genuine. As part of the project I picked up one shopping mall and another street with a number of stores.

I did a casual survey on Tuesday and Wednesday. Then I went to the same stores on Black Friday.

Other than the new advertising, nothing had changed. There were two exceptions. One store had a 20% discount on everything(except the products that were already on sale). Another(Hollister) had a similar offer.

Moral of the story. Its an eyewash.
