Never any harm in checking whether or not you are competent to ride a bike.

I am 69 and bought two motorbikes this summer.
The last time I had a bike was 35 years ago.
Luckily I passed the test in the 1970s and kept renewing it.
Get a few lessons.  I did this year.

Drove Bikes from the age of 18-49  Loved them ,Owned many,  Had 2 or 3 went round the Clock. Worked as a courier Nationwide back in the day Would say I have travelled well over 1/2  million miles on bikes ,Then one day I said thats it, Well I moved from London where a Bike was the best form of Transport,I have never got back on one since and strangely I don't miss them ShockedI have been out on Motorways in the Pitch black with Gale force winds and Pishing rain That is something I certainly will never Miss GrinThey are the greatest form of transport and used as leisure Good fun , I had a good run
and decided to call it a day ,These days with so many in car Distractions and Miopic fookers driving about it is only a
matter of time Till some rsole does not see you , To those taking it up Good Luck Happy

BTW if you have a car License I don't believe you have to take the theory test ?? I may be wrong .

No I think you still have to take it. but if you passed your cae test before 2001 you can ride a 50cc with a passenger without taking a cbt test and you don't need L plates
