My deposits in relation to my winnings is quite small???????

If I was a money launderer I would be the smallest money launderer of all time

It is not their place to "accuse you of money laundering" so if they have done, please post the email/chat log.

You will, however, in all probability have exhibited behaviour that the "authorities" consider to be in the tool chest of a money launderer.  Most commonly depositing and withdrawing large amounts and if pressed being unable to provide any information about the source of these funds.

If that is the case, simply state that your funds deposited in betfair come from your bank and the bank has far more regulatory scrutiny than gambling companies and has no issue regarding the source of funds.  Accordingly you demand that your funds are released and will take action including legal action to access your funds.

If your situation is more complex, please provide the forum with details.

How much does you consider to be a large amount of money? Charlie

42K

I have recently started using other betting exchanges ****, Matchbook, SMS...so I have to transfer money between them

in units of a thousand..max 5K

Either mistakenly or maliciously this has been reported as Laundry laundering

I am a person who does not cope well with life, this is a very difficult situation for me, which has had bad results for me

I am sorry it has happened as I have had a good relation with b/f up to this point.

I will try to deal with this

Thanks for any advice

People becoming paranoid. Know a guy who sells lots of stuff and Paypal not only accused him of laundering but closed his account.

Yes, this is the crux of it. Hopefully you had a few smallish stakes big odds results going your way and there should really be no issues.

I have also suffered some very big losses

If I moved my money to gambling accounts for safe keeping....my money is far from safeCry

the roof has fallen in on me at the moment

How did you "move your money" to other exchanges?  Chip dumping?

Really sorry to hear that. I'm sure you will get your money back from Betfair. I don't understand why people transfer money from one account to another though unless it's winnings when there shouldn't be any questions asked about withdrawals.

I had a bet pending on b/f...about Brexit...so I had a bit of exposure(it lost)

I needed to get more money on than b/f would allow me

So I transferred money from b/f to myself...and then to the three other exchanges

Paypal assumed this money was laundering...?????????????

Since I have lost on these other exchanges it was hardly well laundered..

Paypal had not right to report it as money laundering....I was betting the money not holding it in those accounts

I like a bet...

B/f have frozen my account, I cannot withdraw anything ...very unfairly

I have little idea of what you're saying but you seem to be saying that it was Paypal that said you were money laundering to start with so not Betfair's fault?

yes Charlie....told my bank as well, they cancelled my debit card without warning

But b/f cannot hold onto my money...that is my objection...it is needed

it is a mess...might sort it out next week

no football

particularly Sheff U v Man U

the result changing twice in injury time did for me...took a big hit

I could cope with one change of result not two, I was badly over exposed and paid the price

purely my own fault
