Farage says Brexit party will not fight Tories in 317 seats, in significant boost to Johnson's election chances
Farage says he weighed up Johnson’s promises against the threat that the Brexit party standing could let the Lib Dems in.

Farage says the Brexit party will not stand against the Tories in the 317 seats they won in 2017.
But it will concentrate its efforts on seats held by the Labour party.

And it will also challenge other remainer parties.

Also should not be contesting any seat Labour beat the cons at the last election by less than a thousand seats, must be a few of those as well.

^^why?  The brexit party isn't taking any votes from her.

Seven seats Labour beat the Cons into second place last time  by less than 240 votes, key seats Brexit should not be contesting if they have gone this far with withdrawing.
By:

When: 11 Nov 19 13:36
actually the tories should win all labour held seats with less than a 2000 majority, about 20 seats.  Whether the brexit party will take labour or tory votes or equal amounts is debateable but the info from recent polls suggest that they take more labour votes.  If brexit wanted the maximum disruptive effect they would only stand in seats where labour had a more than 2000 majority.

That would be the common sense approach but when did that ever enter the recent political scene.

Sensible move from Farage. Sometimes you have to know when to retreat and fight another day.

I wanted the Brexit Party and Conservatives to negotiate a deal, but it looks like Boris has gambled on this one and it’s paid off.

The Left :  "Vote tactically to stop Johnson becoming PM and ensure we continue to have a Remainer Parliament, which will prevent the Brexit the country voted for"

ALSO The Left : "How DARE the Brexit Party NOT stand in Tory constituencies. That sort of tactical move to try and facilitate the Brexit that the Fascist Nazi Racist Islamophobic Homophobic Transphobic Pretendy Refugee hating public voted for is a disgrace".

I don't see the point of voting for Labour, SNP & Liberals the No Deal parties. Europe has had several chances to enforce no deal on us and each time they have cowered away and given an extension. Just proves that Conservatives and Farage were right that it should be used as a lever to get a better deal.

rofl - why would they enforce no deal after the UK has asked for an extension (damaging both economies)?

this has basically handed a massive majority to the tories CryCry

The other seats they are contesting will only split the labour vote not the tory vote that the media want you to think

I think this could be a landslide for the tories now SadCrazyCrazy

Its over now and this has just confirmed it, a big laugh in the face of everyone from Farage and the banking cartel

"tactical voting" now out the window but that made no difference anyway because it was only splitting the labour vote and handing the tories the seat anyway, shows how stupid people are doesn't it

But you might as well not bother voting unless its for tory now anyway, its over and done with.

Still 1.62 for a majority ffs

If they don't get the majority from here it'll be a miracle SadSad

I got £300 on Saturday at 1.94, really wanted to get another £500 on but didn't have the funds to do it at the time CryCry

Wrong

By contesting them they are taking labour voters who want brexit, gifting the seat to the tories Cry, the staunch tory voter will not jump sides trust me, but labour voters who are voting entirely from a brexit point of view will switch. Labour are going to lose those seats as well. Its madness what's going on here but heyho its not my life being shafted so fack it. I feel sorry for the poor fackers who are about to get shafted by their fellow neighbour ffs.

If this is going the way I think this is going to be an easy Tory win by probably 400 seats +

Mention Nigel Farage and without fail Facts will pop up with his usual platitude of him being a "snake oil" salesman. He must have heard the insult (probably from Soubry or Phillips) and now just can't seem to stop himself. Not an original thought in his pickled marshmallow head.

Had a Brexit Party candidate stood in my constituency the Liberals would have won the seat for sure.

They still might I should hasten to add. The seat has flipped-flopped between Tories and Liberals in recent times.

I'm still far from certain this decision by Farage will actually help Johnson/Tories that much in those constituencies in the Midlands/North/Wales NOT presently held by the Tories.

The pro-Brexit vote will still get split there, and anyone underestimating Labour in those regions should take note of recent history. Labour can still rely on the very effective Sharia Law Block Vote (particularly by post) and the easily-impressed students who voted Labour in dual locations as in 2017.

Remember Peterborough?  Anyone who saw those scenes after the recent by-election result might have thought they were watching coverage from an election in Islamabad Central.

The thing that worries Corbyn's Labour more than anything is for much tighter (and long-overdue) controls on Voter ID, particularly by post. In the 2017 General Election (for example), a staggering 8.4 million votes were cast by post, or 18% of those who voted in the election. The idea that almost 1 in 5 can't make it to a Polling Station for a legitimate reason on Election Day is ludicrous.

Mr Farage told the Daily Mirror he wanted 'nothing' from the Government 'and I have asked for nothing'.

Pressed on an offer of a peerage in return for not standing against the Conservatives he added: 'I was offered one last Friday.

'Ridiculous – the thought they can buy me, a high-paid job; but I'm not interested, I don't want to know.'

Mr Farage insisted that he had been swayed by the premier's pledge in a video message last night that the transition period will not be extended beyond the end of 2020, and the government would strike a 'Super Canada Plus' trade deal.

'That sounds a bit more like the Brexit we voted for,' Mr Farage said. 'Last night I weighed up Boris's promises and is he going to stick to them, against the threat, particularly in the south and south west, that we let in a load of Lib Dem Remainers.
