Great film just finished

I loved that film  , well all Cold War films but this   , along with The Spy Who Came In From The Cold
were masterpieces !

The defence of the western world was in the hands of a small number of Americans , god bless America

That is the first time I have seen the film, always seemed to miss it when it was on, but I must say all the hype was right, funny, thought provoking and great performances from many, Sellars and Scott esp. Dr Strangelove near the end trying to control his right arm and screaming "Mein Fuhrer" had me in stitches.

I also have never seen Kubricks 2001 Space Oddysey, but I hear its heavy going and acquired?

It appears Von Neuman was as mad in real life as he was portrayed in the film by Peter Sellers.

I don't think it would have been much of a war, with one side using nuclear weapons and the other side running for cover.
Although knowing the Russians they'd have probably cheated.
