My son sent me the free introductory one by "Hello Fresh"......
I can't recall in detail, but the weekly cost was £34.00, after the first week, where effectively the recommender was paying for it!
I like to cook, but this was a faff, and certainly not economical, at even half the price!
The "fresh" items were not, and the little packets of herbs & spices, were otherwise food cupboard things, that one should have in all of the time!
If you are a working individual, or couple, you are unlikely to feel like cooking and, either way, would be better with a supermarket "2 for £10.00" deal, including wine, which is great value....
That or chilled ready meals, or do as I do which is to make a big batch of something, such as "Bolognese" from which you can then serve as "Spag Bol" or a "Chilli" or "Cottage Pie" etc!

Had a knock at the door from what I presume was Hello Fresh, can't be 100%, a couple of months ago. Lad was wearing an apron and was trying to convince me how much cheaper they could feed a family of four than we could buying the stuff ourselves.
We're still burning money at Lidl...

I will say that if my missus had answered the door, we'd probably be getting this stuff now. Women will fall for any old sh1te - Callistomoon's wife apparently believes this crowd will provide 'better' meals ffs! (No offence intended, CM)

Slow cooking technology not reached one's areas yet? Once a week prep eg marinade whatever, and store in individual plastic containers or bags. Then tip each one into a slow cooker with sauce (or liquid) eg pasata/pasta sauce the night before; select slow, and press button the next morning before going to work; job done. And, the house smells wunderbar too.
Or make parcels (greaseproof paper) of food, then stick it into the oven when one gets in. Absolutely no waste, but savings.

I use 'Simply Cook'. No produce as such but pastes and herbs/spices. 3 pots in a box...if you pick the right ones for you, then they are bloody brilliant IMO. I used their intro offer for a quid, asked 5 colleagues to do the same for a quid, for each I got another box for free and am still using them weeks on..The flavours in those paste pots work, I don't know how but they do. Clever and not expensive.

cooked her lamb chops with a red currant glaze with asparagus minted Ratte pots and baby carrots. No waste and not a fecking flat bread or taco in sight.

I love beans on toast, toasted cheese sandwich or toasted egg sandwich with brown bread down with a cup of tea - that would be my treat in any cafe. I cannot do that at home as I could get progressively lazy and become too reliant on them.
