its called the apollo 11 capsule,and it got a few scratches on its outside.loads of photo's of it.

now meteorites are sometimes made of iron,yet only 5% survive getting through the earths atmosphere ,yet this tin can done its job in 1969.

its the playing golf thing on no. 14  that did it for me . as if you would prepare for such nonsense . packing a golf club !...and the clip where president nixon gets a perfect line on an old , table dial up phone like we had at home that crackled if we rang ireland from the uk . i don't normally go for the conspiracy/ fake line but those moon landings stretched it a bit for me ....

I do believe that man landed on the moon in 1969, but a camera film surviving the Van Allen belt journey does trouble me somewhat.

and the same capsule carries .42 tons of moon rock home ,thats 842 pounds of rock.and they slept for 7 hours ,so they moved 842 pounds of rock off the moon and into the capsule in 14 hours,yet very few photo's are shown of them loading the rock into the capsule.

That one is easily explained away. If you were the poor sap tasked with humping 842lb of rocks, you wouldn't be too happy if your mate was standing around with a Polaroid!

i am sure they had a few tea breaks,in fact when they arrived they had a snooze for an hour before they opened the hatch to come out so that is another wasted hour,and the had to plant the flag and they had difficulty doing that so thats another half hour wasted,so the time collecting the moon rock would be shorter that 12.5 hours - the tea breaks.and taking the photo's ,and toilet breaks of course.and i guess they loaded up at least half an hour before take off on the return journey.

842lbs is the total brought back from all Apollo missions. Apollo 11 only brought back 48lbs. Later missions brought back more when NASA were more confident the craft could carry the weight.

Now this point bugs me.When the two guys landed on the moon they nearly run out of fuel.So i am sure they were a little worried about getting back to the command module and i guess they hoped they had enough fuel to get back.
So they decide to carry a half of ton of rock with them on the return journey,now i know someone will say it does not weigh that amount on the moon but it would play on the mind sort of thing if the allocated  fuel was very  low on landing.

Very similar as it involves people making absurd claims and then building a story around it. How somebody could believe Apollo 11 bought back 842lbs of moon rock is beyond me. To then go on and calculate the time it would take to load the stuff and the shortage of fuel and still not realise they're talking bollocks shows how much common sense some people lack.

That would enable other users to follow the link & understand Brass's post & get an idea of the accuracy of the claim.

If Apollo 11 had been a hoax, and had successfully fooled the American public and the whole of the rest of the world (including the Russians btw; remember the COLD WAR? then you would think the perpetrators of the hoax would have just wiped their communal brow and uttered a sigh of relief " ...Wow, thank f*ck we got away with that !..."

But what happens next? Not content with perpetrating one hoax, they go on to perpetrate the same hoax another six times, and nobody rumbles them.
