"Germany tumbles into recession as global trade tensions, disruption to car industry and worries over Brexit take their toll"

While the Uk is doing just fine after all the remain idiots said there would be a massive crash and high unemployment within weeks of the brexit result, nearly 4 years later non of the sort...

But the same scaremongering REMAIN IDIOTS...while GERMANY IS KAPUTEN! maybe the 2 million muzzies Merkel let in are not pulling their weight?

While the Uk is doing just fine

UK gross domestic product fell 0.2 percent in the second quarter of 2019, unrevised from the previous estimate and compared to the previous period's figure of 0.6 percent. Gross capital formation contracted sharply, while private consumption, government spending and net trade contributed positively to GDP growth. On the production side, industrial output fell the most since the fourth quarter of 2012.

Germany's obsession with hyperinflation leading to Nazism means they stubbornly refuse to turn on the taps when needed. It hurts Germany; it hurts Europe first. Ask the Greeks!

Figures for Q3 have not been released, the Office for National Statistics reports that they will be released on 11 November.

UK GDP rose by 0.3% in July, the ONS reported, beating City forecasts of just 0.1% growth. That suggests growth is picking up, after a worrying contraction in the spring.

But over the last three months, the country’s GDP is flat - showing that Brexit uncertainty is continuing to hold back investment.

i make that an overall 0.3%

Even so baphornet thinks that .1% growth over 6 months is "doing fine".  You really have to lol at him calling people "dummies".

Has there ever been a more deluded poster on this forum?  (Other than of course baphornet's previous user name, who ever that might be)

The second quarter growth was negative, you claim that the third quarter will grow at .3%.

You responded to my critique of the doing fine claim.  If your "dummie" post was in fact aimed at doridoru, I apologise.

You can clear matters up by stating that the UK economy isn't doing fine at all.

BREXIT won't be good for anyone in Europe so the point is exactly?  If Germany is having exonomic issues that's not an endorsement that BREXIT has no economic ramifications lol. Your logic is imbecilic.   We haven't even left yet.  We might never leave.  And, as dave points out, and as Stow did yesterday, there are plenty of negative figures surrounding the UK aswell.  I'd say more myself.

As for Geramny being KAPUTEN, GDP per capita is higher in Germany than in the UK according to the IMF, CIA and WB.  And they've had had to swallow up the poverty of an East Germany decimated financially by Corbynomic communism, so relative to us they ain't doing too bad.

no i posted the figures; just the same as you but yours were out of date. my opinion (although not relative) is that we are doing better than was feared & not what you want me to say

My figures were the last officially published.  Narrowly avoiding a recession and crowing because Germany narrowly moves into recession (not yet confirmed), is frankly embarrassing and typical of the pompous nonsense you spout daily.
