Green number plates to indicate green drivers at the moment, until they improve the range and charging points.
Even then they'll never be as good as petrol.
Charging will never be quicker or more convenient than filling up at petrol station if you're out for the day.

Charge will you drive.
Plans for lanes on Sheik Zayed Road in Dubai where you will be able to do exactly that.

when petrol cars are banned the green cars will be forced out of the bus lanes

we still need a few steps forward in battery technology, and of course as demand
rises for electricity in uk , we will have some fun.

''Charge while you drive'' I hadn't heard of that.

Too ambitious, I'll believe it when I see it.

Have you heard of wireless charging?

Charge while you drive is not the issue for now according to China. The problem is the cars that will be charged that way aren't on the roads yet.

After reading Angoose's comments to me above, it looks like I've been getting to him by numbering his anti-Brexit posts on Politics.

278 anti-Brexit threads started by him since late July this year, and most of them cut and pastes from articles in the Guardian is a fine performance indeed.

Obviously this just another way of raising tax revenue, but as usual the better off will be able to buy one of these overpriced and expensive to build and develop cars. The rest of us will have to absorb the extra tax increase sound familiar?

Battery powered cars aren't green. Much of our electricity is still generated by burning fossil fuels.

I don't suppose anybody actually reads those articles other than Guardianistas who read them in the newspaper. He's wasting his time.

United biscuits has 302 anti-Brexit threads to his name since the referendum.
While Angoose has 279 anti-Brexit threads since late July (he's started another since I wrote 278.)

That's 581 threads between them, or him more likely because he's probably the same poster using two usernames.

So God knows how many thousands of anti-Brexit posts he's made.

Frankly, the current standard rear yellow plates are ugly enough!

We've got rid of the scruffy tax discs, and now this.
I would find it a another good reason, not to drive an electric car tbh!

Can you imagine at the dealership, and excited to be ordering your new car, having agonised over the options,
and then trying to settle on a colour, that goes with green?
