He has 5.5 hours left to write his letter and post it,if he fails to do it will he be arrested?
or do the police only arrest some people who break the law and let other people break the law if they want to.Laugh

i always thought an offence against the state was a very serious crime, but it must only be a crime for some people.
Report brassneck • October 19, 2019 5:50 PM BST
in fact i thought even  a monarch could be arrested if he or she committed an offence against the state, but i guess i am wrong and some people break or threaten to break a law against the state and get away with it..Grin

So if he gets arrested do they put him in the same cell as Tony and Andrew?

He could resign a minute before that deadline and avoid arrest.

Is this Brexit relateD?

in fact i think a government of the day that intend to break the law are acting on behalf of a monarch ,and the monarch could get in trouble.
but then again i could be wrong.

there's a fair few I would like locked up but I know this to be against how english people behave - so let's avoid it.

Surely Her Majesty knows that her government is about to break the law?

No problem with sending a letter asking for an extension.

But Boris is not obliged to negotiate for an extension with the EU.
He's said he won't negotiate for an extension, and the legislation doesn't require that he does have to negotiate for an extension.

I assume that he only has to make this clear n the letter for the legislation to be meaningless.

he better send the letter, that's all i am saying,if he fails to send it or get someone to send it,he may be out of a job if he drag's Her Majesty into it."its her government,or has Boris forgot that"
Report Dr Crippen • October 19, 2019 6:20 PM BST
It's almost guaranteed the letter will be sent.

If he doesn't send it someone else will send it for him. It's all very unclear.

does disappearing ink still exist?
this will end up in court if he's got any sense. What better way to win an election than from a jail cell; put there by the oppoition
