Indian students were asked to wear cardboard boxes for exams to prevent them from being able to copy other people's work. How disgraceful and pathetic was that? We knew there were cheating and corruption in exams in South Asia but this (?) in the full view of the world? Certainly did not auger well for the integrity and confidence of grades awarded in that race.

I'm surprised they took any action at all knowing that lot.

Even here parents from South Asia will deliberately buy properties or be on the Electoral Register where a good a=school is so that their siblings can be considered for admission thus depriving genuine families with children in the area - at times they could be brazenly open about it too.

Just yesterday a headteacher suspended (or sanctioned by Ofsted) for running an illegal private school in Streatham for Muslim children only but cannot be shutdown legally (no Law for that) lied to a BBC reporter that the total hours was only 18 (any over was illegal) despite the timetable on the noticeboard indicated 21 hours - she just flatly denied it was not 21 hours but 18 hours.

They need another way to stop cheating. Time to start thinking outside of the box.

This was only done on an 'experimental basis' after hearing of its use elsewhere.

Now that I think of it, it only makes it easier to use earphones. No wonder the students brought these boxes from home voluntarily.

It's their version of a burqa.

I heard stories of Theory Test for Driving were repeatedly abused too eg candidates would even wear a scarf in the summer to conceal the mobile earphones (in communication with a "helper" outside). And, now Tfl has cottoned on that Uber drivers and private minicabs were shared/hired out 24/7 to others in the community sometimes not for business but pleasure to abuse or cheat (not paying) the Congestion Charge. Even Mr Khan had to concede over this malpractice/fraud.
