Isle of Man Chess Open Tournament

A bit like darts and snooker, it seems sexist to have a separate women’s event. No reason why everyone shouldn’t play together in the same tournament.

Are women allowed to play in both IOW chess competitions?

why would have a seperate womens tournament?

In darts and snooker at least there is hand eye co ordination.

What would be the lowest ELO rating that enters these tournaments?

Women's brains surely can match a man's brain in this game

Many of the world's top women are in the main competition and whilst they can and do
sometimes beat male GMs they simply  cant compete in tournaments this strong over 9
days.

It's just been reported on Manx radio that the Russian  grand master esabazurti  messpoth
Has been disqualified from the whole competition for eating mouthfuls of garlic after each move

The Manx grand master from Douglas Isle of Man has had his ban overturned when the adjudicators could not find any thing in the rule book to say about him having three legs

The Chilean grand master had complained about the Manx grand masters three legs giving him an unfair advantage by placing one of them in his opponents groin while  the game is in play

But this was over ruled when he promised to have all three legs tied together

The Manx grand master is now contemplating suing the Manx chess society for the injuries he substained when he needed to go to the toilet urgently
