I thought it was really good. The Scandies turn out some excellent murder mysteries.

Is this the one where he disappeared and the only trace was a pool of water, scarf and a mouldy carrot?

Not seen it yet , read quite a few pf the 'Harry Hole' novels.
I think the author was a footballer before injury .

I should have read the reviews first, it got absolutely destroyed by all the critics.

I made the mistake of seeing Ad Astra recently. It was the most boring film I've ever seen.

Not only boring but ludicrous in every respect. At one point Brad Pitt bunks onto a rocket heading for Neptune by climbing up from the bottom as it's firing up! Laugh

He then kills the crew unintentionally, gets on the blower, apologises to Base, then flies off to see his Dad!

has anyone seen Holmes and Watson?
Report Johnny_Mustang October 15, 2019 8:31 PM BST
^ Absolutely horrific. It was like a private joke between the two main actors that we weren’t privy to.

Hard to beat 'I killed Wild Bill Hickok' no card game and no Jack Mccall shooting WBH in the back
instead Johnny Reb kills him in a gunfight.

Good post, no doubt wasted on most here. I saw a rerun of Bruno v Bugner last week. Bugner didn't look too bad for an old man, He was ashley a kwality boxer back in the day and I think would have got a points win over Bruno when he was younger. I mean he went the distance twice with Smokin' Joe!

Bugner made the mistake of making it personal.
He brought the worst out of Bruno...and it looked very painful.

Bruno was too nice...that was his problem, fought Tyson at his best and most terrifying  as well.
Report UBLE/REGY October 16, 2019 11:16 PM BST
and Bruno was probably a bit too old at that point anyway as you posted Whispering Death.
Report RLKingPunter October 16, 2019 11:22 PM BST

No mention of Tommy Wiseau's The Room? Disappointing.

Can also highly recommend Manos: The Hands of Fate.
Report Emitdeb October 17, 2019 12:53 AM BST
vaguely remember quite enjoying The Lovely Bones...

After being brutally murdered, 14-year-old Susie Salmon (Saoirse Ronan) watches from heaven over her grief-stricken family (Mark Wahlberg, Rachel Weisz) -- and her killer (Stanley Tucci). As she observes their daily lives, she must balance her thirst for revenge with her desire for her family to heal.

Actors, directors and producers dont have to make good films anymore. Just run the Hollywood hype machine on their latest cr@p fest, turn up, do the red carpet, and then watch the cheques roll in.

The last Harry Potter film, I can't remember what it was called. We went to the cinema in Beckenham one Saturday afternoon to see it, after half an hour I walked out and watched the rugby in the pub across the road instead.
