So you open your bread and a slice is moldy ,but the other slices look ok."no no no no no'dont even think about it.The roots from the mold like to hide in the good slices, and if you eat them it will do harm to you.Forget the bla bla bla about penicillin and its safe,"ITS NOT SAFE" and you can get sick"but the other slices will be ok if i toast them,i hear you say"NO NO NO NO NO,chuck the moldy bread in the bin,end of story.Grin

Good advice. Give it to the ER protestors.

What about cheese?

It's common practice to cut the mold off cheese, then use the remaining cheese in sandwiches to be sold to the gobbling public.
Don't eat cheese myself, I care too much about my arteries.

I'm obviously confusing myself Crazy

Cheddar I always cut deep wedge off but bread I've only ever removed the mould.  I have toasted it though, so maybe that explains why I'm still alive?

I don't see the point of eating stale or mouldy bread, it's a very cheap basic food that is readily available.

As I said previously, one can always donate it to Extinction Rebellion protestors, they might be appreciative of the recycling gesture. I donate mine to the wood pigeons and squirrels who congregate every morning in my garden.

Yes

And it also knackers the bowel and colon up as well, the digestive system takes a battering, dogs always smell the food you give them for a reason

Honest question!

When was the last time anybody saw mouldy bread?

I have had curdled milk but moldy bread?

Firstly I don't eat that cheap pelt they sell the masses and secondly if I pay good money for real bread I eat it quickly!

This crepe this week about not allowing food on Public Transport is horse sheet. The kwality of food offered to the masses is really really bad. Many of the additives, salts and sugars need to be banned or taxed heavily as they serve no purpose save preservation and addiction.

I cannot remember the last time I saw moldy bread!

it happens every day in rich families, they buy too much and have no time to eat it,high class hotels chuck out bread every day if the run on sandwiches drops, supermarkets chuck it in a big bins each night and pour petrol over it to stop poor people taking it from the bins.
small shops try to sell it even when it is stale.sometimes to mold sets in and can be moldy before it turns green or blue.

the biggest waste of food comes from families with excess money, and millions of pounds worth of food end up in the waste bins every day of the year.

Mould is very toxic & the body takes a very long time to get rid of the chemicals contained in it. If you see mould, chuck the food immediately.
