Seems obvious to me.

Very softly softly approach, and any excuse not to act.

Make no mistake, the police could stop this pretty quickly if they were instructed to.

were you not all in favour of those "yellow jacket" protests in France and right up
for some civil unrest if brexit is not delivered?
is it just peaceful protests you object to?

''were you not all in favour of those "yellow jacket" protests in France and right up

Typical comment from a lefty type.

Put forward any criticism and they'll excuse their appalling behaviour with a comparable they have invented.

Police men are heroes and defenders of democracy who know about the right to protest, unlike certain other grumpy individuals.

civil disobedience against people he doesn't like (like Macron) is good but against people or governments that he supports, it is actually bad.

although he probably only supports the radical right wingers in the yellow vests but would happily have the police bash the radical left

Brexit would've also (very likely) been implemented if MV4 with the additional concessions towards Labour had been done instead of the ERG backstabbing May at that moment because that kind of Brexit would not have screwed over folks as much as they would like.

I hope these protesters will do it every weekend just like the "yellow vests" in France - I think the government and the British people need to be constantly reminded. But, I hope they do not get militant in the process.

On the other hand the police could enter the House Of Commons en-masse to escort the self-serving MPs out of the premises for dereliction of duty, and wasting public funds.

Smithfield Market is a no-no. I believe people must be given the choice of whether to eat meat or not. But, pollution and transport, yes. I hope Central London is made pedestrians only zone - no buses, taxis or motorbikes.

The latest propaganda from the BBC :'Almost 400 all-time high temperatures were set in the northern hemisphere over the summer, according to an analysis of temperature records.'

Take a note of this gem! 'The data included measurements from weather stations in the northern hemisphere that had at least 40 years of observations.'

And this false claim: 'France set an all-time high-temperature of 46C,'

- How can it be an all time high if records only go back 40 years and at most 150??

How about this...'There are more weather stations in the United States and Europe, meaning that a heatwave in those areas has the potential to break more records.' Grin

And the best saved till last...global temperature rise: 'Globally it was marginally warmer - by 0.04 degrees Celsius (0.072 Fahrenheit) - than the previous hottest month on record, July 2016. '

So they start with a fear inducing headline and end with that beauty. 0.04Grin

Don't forget to quote the important bits:

Almost 400 all-time high temperatures were set in the northern hemisphere over the summer, according to an analysis of temperature records.

The records were broken in 29 countries for the period from 1 May to 30 August this year.

A third of the all-time high temperatures were in Germany, followed by France and the Netherlands.

The analysis was carried out by the California-based climate institute Berkeley Earth.

Over the summer, there were 1,200 instances of places in the northern hemisphere being the hottest they'd ever been in a given month.

Scientists say it's the latest sign that Earth is experiencing unprecedented warming.

The scorching July heatwave that hit Europe was made both more likely and more intense by human-induced climate change, scientists reported.

A study reported that warming increased the intensity of the event that impacted the UK, France and the Netherlands by between 1.5 and 3C.

"This July 2019 heatwave was so extreme over continental Western Europe that the observed magnitudes would have been extremely unlikely without climate change," said Dr Friederike Otto, acting director of the Environmental Change Institute at the University of Oxford, and one of the authors of that report.

The heatwave in France was made at least 10 times and up to 100 times more likely by human activities.

In the UK, the shorter event was made at least three times as likely, experts said.

7 hot days and the rest average and they will tell us it was the 3rd or 4th hottest year on record, a trick they have used for years now we know why-for this monumental lie. "We can stop climate change but we will have to take this or that away from you" Lets see what they have planned for us.

The Government today took the extraordinary step of calling in 500 officers from 43 other police forces in England and Wales as they try to round up the Extinction Rebellion mob bringing chaos to the centre of the capital.

Scotland Yard has been accused of 'standing around the edges' as up to 30,000 people flooded central London - making around 580 arrests in the past two days.

XR members have also taken a vow to refuse bail in bid to fill London's 700 police cells - with 5,000 people said to have pledged to be arrested.
