Enough the difference between terrorism and protesters ,we in the uk are being threatened by the EU with Irish republican terrorism if they the EU do not get their way. The french should know better than to side with facists over democracy and for them to be active in these threats is a total insult to ordinary law abiding citizens the world over .The threat of loss of peace and terrorism needs nipped in the bud ,how can you negotiate with these sort of threats ? As for a climate protests ,they have never remotely came close to being terrorism and please don’t call it as such ,stupidity beyond belief . |

CO2 production to global warming: China 25.9% USA 14.85% UK 1.3% UK has eliminated coal generation, has 27% renewables and 18% nuclear and has the greatest reduction in greenhouse gases from 1990 levels (40%) the highest in the G7. Instead, if the protestors really wanted to halt the planet’s march to a warmer climate, why not protest and boycott the countries which are having the worst impact? China emits 23 times the amount of greenhouse gasses as the UK, more than any other country. Coming in behind them is the US, India and Russia. So here’s an idea for London’s protestors – why not spend your time rallying the governments of China, the US and India to aim for net zero emissions by 2025? Surely it would be an easy task to move your tents (or fire engine) over to the lawns of their embassies and make some noise in that direction. ......Or might these nation's representitives in London adopt a slightly more aggressive stance than that adopted by the Met when confronted by climate change protestors spraying fake blood over the Treasury? |
