Could anyone recommend a destination in Spain or Portugal for a long weekend in May next year?
We are looking for a decent hotel, somewhere with good nightlife and good courses. We have been to Benidorm and Vilamoura in recent years and are looking for alternatives.
Any recommendations greatly appreciated.

Just back two weeks ago from a long weekend staying at Gramacho. Its not a hotel but lots of villas located around the golf course. There is a clubhouse serving food all day long. It is next door to another course called Pinta which we also played. Thereis a brewery very close by which was worth a visit.
Costa del Sol. 20-odd courses located between Malaga and Gibraltar, including Valderrama where they held the Ryder Cup a few years back. Plenty of nightlife, just choose your base club/resort/town according to how hectic you want that nightlife, and your budget
