It's got beyond bad now this industry for the regualar punter outside the game or not a celeb etc. currently in the middle of a dispute just to keep a heavily restricted account open am telling them and the GC to fcuk off but it's the principles involved hopefully yours get's sorted.

My dispute is with another Mickey Mouse firm Mansion Bet btw. have been round the accounts a couple of times some even 3 so had to start opening Mickey Mouse ones and it brings bother especially with all the new GC criteria that the average person is blackmailed with.

They blocked me without giving any reason. Did return my balance though without any issue.

If it's a large sum of money it is obvious why they'll need time. Unless it's illegal they'd obviously have it invested somewhere. Youre playing with numbers in your account not real money.

Never ever leave substantial amounts in any bookie's account overnight or for long periods. They could hold you at ransom if they so wish, and little you can do about it except wait (patiently); only hassle and no interest paid either.

If you are depositing and withdrawing "large sums" every day, you are heading for questions and possibly account closure from both your bank and the bookmakers.

Even for sums up to £500? If so, I'd need a guarantee from betting entity no unnecessary delay upon request for a withdrawal prior otherwise I'd not leave "large sums" over night as it could be opened to abuse.

if they are going to "abuse you" they would do it whenever you withdraw, overnight is irrelevant I would think.  The important factor is whether customer money is held in a separate trust account.  Betfair do that, most others don't due to stunningly inadequate regulation from the UKGC.

Definitely account closures/restrictions from bookmakers anyway, heard years ago that withdrawing was one of the criteria for restriction so never withdrew a penny from a bookmaker account until heavily restricted or closed not sure how much that matters now given you have to jump through hoops to have one in the first place (if you are average Joe).
