I shop at Morrisons purely because I don't drive and it's the nearest. Last couple of weeks the chicken legs I've bought seem to have a fair bit of blood in them when cooked.
Purely down to buying cheap meat?

Probably more to do with cooking imo mo, if you cook one long enough there'll be no blood in it whatever the quality.

Is it a large Morrisons with its own butchers? If so, have a word. That would put me right orf.

Thanks for the replies. I did actually think it could be down to cooking time. And also top shout having a word in store with the butcher.

If signing a contract to buy chicken legs, be careful of any hidden claws.

My local Morrisons butcher set up is halal, don't know if that could affect the chicken.

Not going to be popular with their main customer base. Out on a wing and a prayer with that one.

I hope you do not have crisps with your chicken legs or wings!

Blood on chicken legs: Pigments in the bone marrow seep thro' the thin bones of the juvenile birds when cooked, according to 'Google'. Secure an older chicken and the blood will be history.
