Got a laptop thats plugged into an ethernet cable during day .  Uncouple and use as a laptop@ night and automatically switches/connects to wifi. For some wird reason seems to have dropped wifi altogether. Network and internet settings show a flight mode logo the wifi logo has done a runner. any help appreciated.

Ran windows network diagnostics says adapter is experiencing driver or hardware problems with no suggestion of a solution?

go into settings switch off flight mod ?

You clearly have turned on flight mode by mistake. Turn it off or turn wifi on, something like that should be there in settings.

Try the good old complete disconnection of your internet input to the house.
Shut it all down, including routers and do a complete reboot.

I had a similar issue a few months back, drove me nuts, found a page on the internet that offered solutions to the particular error message.
Tried them all without real success. Problem did become resolved, only to reoccur, before finally ceasing.

Incredibly frustrating, but just one of those things.

You can try to update the drivers for devices, or uninstall a device via control panel - system - device manager.
Expand the network adaptor options by clicking on it. If it's a driver problem, it will show up as coloured yellow and you can try to update driver, where the system will try to find one on the web. Drivers can be downloaded from your manufacturer's website, if they need installing from your pc.
You can also disable devices, reboot & re-enable them.
Best to do this while connected via ethernet.
