You had me there was thinking how the fcuk can you fish with magnets?
Interesting subject looked into it last year when the hawkers along Hadrian's Wall made the news,used to go out there stargazing to fill in time and on a few occasions didn't see one vehicle let alone a person once off the A69 definite potential but risk of jail if you get caught.
Think most of the detectorists have pre arranged searches with land owners and donate the good stuff to museums etc but must be plenty that's been kept under wraps imo.

Yes , 20 foot of Rope with a Magnet  attached into rivers, canals,  Guns Hand grenades the Lot being found Shocked

be carefull around the car wi that magnet case the pull of the magnet onto the metal  can rip it out ya hands and bang new panels needed

The BBC article about this made reference to two magnet fishers using a particularly strong magnet who were found dead "vertically submerged"!

There's a guy on you tube called 'drasticg' that posts. Found safes, motorbikes, guns etc., seems to find most in canals.
